RGVHS Internship Program

The RGV Humane Society offers unpaid internships for high school Juniors & Seniors, college students, and recent graduates. Take part in caring for thousands of lost & homeless pets every year at the RGV Humane Society as an intern. You'll get lots of hands-on experience while working with a dedicated and knowledgeable team.

 

We offer internships in the following areas (click on the links to view descriptions):

  • Lifesaving Internship

  • Medical Internship

  • Kitten Season Internship

  • Animal Care Internship

  • Community Engagement Internship

  • Business Administration & Management Internship

​

Requirements

  • 16 years old and older

  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 15 hours a week

  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 weeks of internship

  • Reliable transportation

  • Ability to lift 40lbs without assistance
